Mulholland Contracts Ltd, part of the Mulholland Group of Companies are currently recruiting an experienced Land Surveyor / GPS Machine Control Engineer to undertake topographic surveys and work with our growing fleet of GPS enabled plant.

The Role:

  • Maintain Site GPS networks
  • Calibrate GPS excavation plant
  • Plan fieldwork methods
  • Undertake topographic & control surveys
  • Process site acquired data
  • Volumetric calculations
  • Creating & providing reports
  • Onsite Client liaison

Profile of successful candidate:

Essential

  • Proficient with CAD software
  • Experienced in GPS Machine Control
  • Experienced in GPS Site Calibrations
  • Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to operate effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible to meet the working demands of the construction industry
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to operate complex equipment following standard operating procedures
  • Safety conscious with the ability to operate safely in a high-pressure environment
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have good problem-solving skills

Desirable

All applicants must be based within a commutable distance from Livingston or be prepared to relocate. Hold a full UK driving license and be permitted to work in the UK.
