Health & Safety Manager
Mulholland Contracts Ltd. are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager for the family owned Civil Engineering, Groundworks, Surfacing and Multi Utility Company.
Based in our Office in West Lothian, you will be working across Central belt Scotland primarily.
Reporting directly to the Director Responsible for Safety / Managing Director, you will take full control for the health and safety compliance for the Company, fostering an ethos that injury prevention and damage control are an integral part of the business.
Your responsibilities and duties will include;
Ensuring the company is compliant with all regulations and legislations
Ensuring the sub-contractors are compliant and working safely at all times
Ensure that relevant RAMS are carried out for all Site & Office activities.
Manage all occupational health and safety surveys
Manage all training and roll out new training when required
Complete health & safety inspections on a monthly basis as required
Carry out site audits of health & safety paperwork to ensure site is compliant
Report any risks and non-compliances to senior management team and resolve accordingly
Work alongside site managers and staff to document any issues which arise onsite
Carrying out full accident investigations if required
Attend internal & external meetings and outline requirements from a health & safety point of view.
Ensure company meets obligations under all safety regulations
You will be a Health and Safety professional with a good mix of experience in Health & Safety within the house building sector and have experience in Civil Engineering / Groundworks.
You would be qualified to at least NEBOSH Construction Certificate and be willing to work towards obtaining CMIOSH.
A hands-on approach to guiding and or encouraging others to carry out their roles correctly whether internal or external will be essential.
